Legal · Terms of service
We prepare and submit your file. The authority decides on it.
These terms describe a real piece of work — registrations and declarations prepared, checked by a person, and filed with the register and the scheme of each country. They also describe what nobody here can promise, because a register decides that.
Draft · not published
These terms sit between you and us.
These terms are between you and To be completedlegal name of the publisher, the company named on the legal notice.
The service is built for companies that place goods on a market in the European Union: the first thing the onboarding asks for is a company registration number, and every register we file with issues its number to a company, not to a person.
They apply from the moment you accept a written quote. Everything before that — the scope check, the review, the quote itself — is free and commits you to nothing.
We prepare and submit files. That is the service.
We prepare and submit your registration, per country and per stream, and we prepare and file the declarations that follow on that country’s calendar. A person reads every file before it goes out.
Four things this version of the platform does not do, and does not pretend to do:
- No payment on this site. A person sends you a payment link.
- No quote engine. A person writes it, after reading your answers.
- No contribution calculation. What a scheme charges is set by the scheme.
- No automated filing. Each national portal is different, and several have no interface to speak to.
shippeu.com is a private service. It is not an authority, a register or a collective scheme.
We are not a law firm, and this is not legal advice.
We prepare and file administrative paperwork. We read published guidance, we name the register and the scheme rather than writing “the relevant body”, and we date what we publish.
That is not advice on your legal position, and nobody here is your lawyer. Where an answer depends on how a rule applies to your particular case — a product that sits between two streams, a group structure, a dispute with a marketplace — we say so, and that is the point at which you need someone who can advise you.
Our fee is published, per country, per year.
€299 a year, per country. Before scheme and authority fees.
One offer, one amount, per country you open. No setup fee, no tier, no different first year. Open two countries and you pay for two countries — what the single account buys you is one place to run them, one calendar and one set of documents, not one European price.
What the fee covers:
- Your registration prepared and submitted, for every stream you owe in that country
- A written scope before anything is charged
- The annual declaration, prepared and filed on that country’s calendar
- Resubmission at no extra fee on a file we prepared
- A person on the file when the register comes back
- The dashboard, with the dates that follow
What it does not cover, in plain sight rather than in a footnote:
- Scheme fees
- Billed by the scheme, on your volumes and your materials. We never mark them up.
- Authority fees
- Registration and filing charges set by the national register.
- Environmental contribution
- Italy's CAC and its equivalents. You stay the debtor, in your own name.
- Taxes
- VAT and local charges, at the rate of the country that levies them.
- Guarantees
- Some registers require a financial guarantee before they accept a file.
Our fee covers our work. It excludes fees charged by schemes and authorities, environmental contributions, taxes and guarantees, which are billed by those bodies and which we never mark up. Calculator results are indicative, not a quote.
The pricing page shows the same figures with a worked example.
You read a written quote before anything is charged.
Nothing is charged until you accept a written quote. The order is always the same, and the first three steps are free:
- FreeScope checkYou answer the five route questions. No account, no card.
- FreeHuman reviewA person checks the route and tells you exactly what is missing.
- FreeItemised quoteWe put our fee and the known third-party costs on separate lines.
- BilledAccept and payThis is the first time anything is charged.
- BilledSubmission and trackingWe file the agreed work and record every response and next date.
The quote lists our fee and the known third-party costs on separate lines, country by country, so you can drop one before you pay for it. A person then sends you a payment link. There is no card form on this site and no payment inside the app.
Four things this section still has to say, and none of them can be guessed from anything we have written down:
To be completedwhen payment falls due, and what a late payment costs
To be completedhow VAT applies to this fee
To be completedwhether a withdrawal period applies, and how long it runs
To be completedwhat is refundable once we have started
Your file is only as good as what you send us.
A register judges the file, not the effort. What you send us is what it judges, so this is the part of the contract that is yours:
- Company identity
- Where you sell
- How you sell
- What you ship
- Packaging and product data
- Documents
You answer honestly, you keep the figures current, and you tell us when something changes — a new market, a new product with a cell in it, a change of company name. If a register or a scheme comes back with a question, you answer it or you tell us to.
Data that does not match what a country asks for is the most common reason a file comes back. We check the shape of it before it goes anywhere, and we tell you what is missing rather than filing something that will return.
The authority decides. We don’t.
We prepare and submit your file, and we tell you what comes back. We do not guarantee registration, the timing of a decision, a marketplace outcome, or a given level of scheme fees. What we do guarantee is a complete file, submitted on the date we agreed, and a written answer to every question the authority or the scheme raises.
Read that in the order it is written. The first half is the part providers hide in six point type; the second half is what you are actually buying, and it is enforceable.
What a failure on our side costs is a separate question, and this page cannot answer it yet:
To be completedthe limit of what we owe if something goes wrong
The fee covers one year, and the calendar keeps running.
The fee covers a year in a country. A registration is not a one-off: each country sets its own declaration date, and the year that follows is the work.
Your producer number. Issued by the register, in your name. It is yours. It does not sit with us, and it does not stop working if you leave.
How the year ends, or does not, is the line this section is waiting on:
To be completedhow the year renews, and what stops it
One law governs these terms, and one court decides.
Before either of the two lines below matters: write to [email protected]. Most of what looks like a dispute is a file that came back, and it is fixed in a day.
To be completedthe law these terms are read under
To be completedthe court that hears a dispute
We tell you before these terms change.
Each version of this page carries the day it takes effect, so that two versions can be told apart.
