Twenty-seven countries,

one login.

The account is one. The obligations are not: each country runs its own register, its own scheme and its own declaration calendar. We run a local entry point in 10 of them today. The other 17 are on this page too, with no date attached to any of them.

What we run

We name the register, and the day we last checked it.

A filled cell means we hold a documented source for that country and that stream. An empty cell means we don't hold one yet, not that there is no obligation. The two are different, and we will not let the table blur them.

The 10 countries we run a local entry point for, the streams we hold a documented source for, and the authority and scheme that decide each file.

Why four columns

Four streams. They never share a file.

Packaging goes to the packaging scheme, electronics to the WEEE register, batteries to the battery register. Mixing them is the most common reason a file comes back.

  • Packaging

Every product you ship has packaging, so packaging almost always counts: the box, the filler and the label included.

Documented in 10 of the 10 we run

  • WEEE

Anything electrical or electronic adds WEEE, from a lamp to a laptop.

Documented in 10 of the 10 we run

  • Batteries

Anything with a cell or a battery adds batteries, including one sealed inside a device.

Documented in 10 of the 10 we run

  • Textiles

Clothing and household textiles add textile EPR, in the countries that have it.

Documented in 2 of the 10 we run

Our method

How a country gets onto this page.

Three things have to be true before a row appears above. None of them is a business decision: they are all about whether we can back what the row says.

  1. We read the source

The national register and the scheme, in the local language, and we write down the day we read them. Every figure on this page carries that date.

  2. We run a local entry point

A site in that country, with its own guidance, run by the people who file there. The 10 domains in the table are ours.

  3. We publish the row, and what it doesn't say

The authority is named, the streams we can back are filled, and the ones we cannot are left open rather than guessed.

Not covered yet

The other 17. No date attached.

We list them rather than let a map of Europe imply we cover them. A country moves into the table above once its sources are reviewed and a local entry point runs. We announce it then, not before.
